U.S. automaker General Motors is facing some difficult decisions in efforts to remain competitive. They have too many factories and one option is to close their plant here in Lordstown. The northeast Ohio factory has already reduced production from three shifts to one, an arrangement that creates inefficiencies. The plant has lost 3,000 union positions in recent years.
